How a Sales Funnel Aligns with Your Funnel Let’s break down the three main stages of a sales funnel and how they align with a sales funnel. Awareness and discovery start to learn more about your product or service. Pipeline activities at this stage typically include interacting with your content, viewing your landing page, and clicking on your ads. This will be your largest pool of potential customers. It’s normal for some prospects to leave the funnel as they learn more about your company and move through the funnel. Research solutions. It is in the middle stage of the funnel that prospects begin to show more interest and engagement in your company.

Pipeline activities at this stage might include reading case studies or browsing your product or service pages. Prospects at this stage may have already made a purchasing decision; they just need to decide who to buy from. Your content should show them how your product or service solves their Email Marketing List problem and why you are a better choice than your competitors in the market. Make an informed purchasing decision. Highly qualified prospects in the bottom of the funnel stage will make their final purchasing decision based on the best solution for their pain point budget and goals. Activities at this stage may include reviewing your pricing page and contacting you directly for more information.



This stage may involve negotiating with potential customers to prevent them from purchasing elsewhere. We’ve covered some examples of pipeline activities for each stage of the sales funnel but these activities are not definitive. You may have different campaigns that indicate where your customers are in the funnel. For example, let’s say a potential customer starts following you on social media. This activity is a sign to your business that they are at the top of the funnel. To another business this might mean they are moving through the middle of the funnel. It all depends on who your customers are and how they move through the sales funnel.
