There are four established traditional techniques that are very important for understanding how to improve productivity and industrial efficiency. Some of them are developed in Japan.

These theses of Japanese origin allow us to contin Chinese Overseas Asia Number Data ually identify sources of waste or alternative evolution (Kaizen).

It even applies to occasional waste: consider that everything you don't save (or don't recycle) today, your child may one day miss.

This is the focus of Eastern culture, that is, using today's resources, but without forgetting the children to come and what will be available to them.

Philosophy 5S
This philosophy was formed in post-war Japan, from five words, whose sounds begin with the sound of the letter S.

They were translated into Portuguese as the five senses, or five practices, or five routines.

They are: routine of utility (benefit), routine of order (organization), routine of cleaning (hygiene), routine of health (or sanity, physical culture), and routine of self-discipline (or the exercise of the position assumed).

The utility routine guides us as to what should be saved for use and what should be disposed of or recycled:

Some decisions are simple, as is the case with expired or altered products and defective or unused electronic circuits.

As for items in good condition, the Japanese themselves give us some clues:

Papers, documents and records that we haven't consulted in over 6 months are probably no longer needed.

Logic, common sense and discernment are always valid. No radicalism.

The organization's routine is simpler: a place for everything, everything in its place.

Health and hygiene routines are concepts of preservation, and are directly linked to the organization, as after establishing an organizational line it is necessary to make a certain effort to maintain it.

This is because evolution is only evolution if it is constant.

It remains to apply these concepts to the company and the day-to-day work, aiming for possible and viable improvements.

Exercising self-discipline and professional functions is the key to evolution, correcting imperfections, visualizing bottlenecks, optimizing processes and understanding how to improve productivity and efficiency in your industry.

With all the apparent saturation of the Japanese market, the country still presents productivity improvement rates higher than those obtained in Germany, for example.

Asset management by NBR ISO 55000
NBR ISO 55000 is a flowchart for decision-making about assets, including equipment, regarding useful life and expiry, whether due to age, obsolescence, or economic value.

Asset management by maximizing functional periods is called MPT, Total Productivity Maintenance.

In addition to corrective and preventive maintenance, predictive maintenance is the most effective in conserving equipment.

Properly performed, it detects tendencies towards defects while they are still incipient, virtually inaudible and undetectable to human senses and performance diagnosis.

Maintenance can then be scheduled in advance, minimizing impacts on production and committed deadlines, helping to improve your industrial efficiency.
